The objective of this Fund is to offer its shareholders regular monthly distributions that are stable, a chance at capital growth, and a reduction in the volatility typically associated with direct investments in European dividend-growing companies. The Fund works towards these goals by building a portfolio of large-cap companies in Europe known for their dividend growth. For a company to be included in the investment portfolio, it must either be based, incorporated, or listed within Europe, or be judged by the Manager to have significant business operations within the continent. Moreover, the company in question must possess a market cap of no less than $10 billion and either have a track record of increasing dividends or be considered by the Manager as having potential for dividend growth in the future. To mitigate volatility and create income that can be distributed, the Manager may engage in writing covered call options. The Fund also intends to hedge nearly all its exposure to foreign currency back to the Canadian dollar to manage risk related to currency fluctuations.
