About ARB.TO

The Accelerate Arbitrage Fund (ARB) aims for long-term capital growth while trying to achieve better risk-adjusted returns than the S&P Merger Arbitrage Index. ARB implements an arbitrage investment approach focused on investing principally in publicly traded equity, debt, or derivative instruments linked to companies engaged in mergers or corporate events. Concurrently, it may short-sell the corresponding equity, debt, or derivative instruments of the acquiring entities, as appropriate. The Fund’s usage of derivatives for non-hedging operations adheres strictly to the prescribed legal limits. ARB has been granted special permission allowing it to engage in short selling up to a total market value equal to ARB's net asset value (NAV). ARB’s strategy involves taking long positions in target companies undergoing corporate transactions or mergers, while strategically short selling similar instruments of the acquirer companies, to fulfill its investment goals.
